Why has the fire hydrant on the corner of Floyd and Meadow been gushing water for several days? Is this part of the city's "work" on the water main system? Or what? I drive past every day to and from work and it is perpetually flowing.

Raise your hand if you already reported this to city services.

Since when did we have cops on horses? I just saw three of them going down West Grace.

Also, does anyone have a one bedroom apartment they're looking to get out of in mid-late December?

Does anyone have pet rats? We're looking for a vet in the Richmond area that is very experienced or specializes in small animals and is good with rats. Also, if you happen to know of a place to get good, healthy rat food locally, that would be awesome.

does anyone have the number to call if you have jury duty this month?

I know this question has asked before, but I am hoping people might have some more ideas. Looking for cheap, yet good salonists in the area. I would prefer someone young because they seem to have a good grasp on the layers us girls all want these days. By cheap, I'd like to stay in the 20-30 range. I am not looking for all the thrills. Also, how much do you think it is fair to tip generally? I always struggle with this. I would like to be fair. I appreciate it!

Looking to get a new Fedora. Not one of those awful modern fabric ones that make you look like a condom with ears, but a real felt fedora. Just wondering if anyone knows of any places other than Bygones in town that carries men's felt hats. I have been unsuccessful finding a hat shop in town. Don't even know if one exists. Or if there are other department stores that carry them. Burlington used to, but not so much anymore.

Ok. I have a friend looking to do some drinking and Karaoke this weekend. Not sure if we're going out Friday night or Saturday night. what places in Chesterfield and Richmond do weekend Karaoke either Friday or Saturday?

Does anybody know where I can get some quarters for laundry, preferably near vcu or the fan? Kroger recently got rid of their change drawer and I'm at a loss. Any other grocery stores that do this? Are there any banks who will regularly do it for people who don't hold an account there? My bank is ass far away.

A question to all you art students and/or savvy tech-lords:

I'm looking to watch movies on a wall and need to know more about projectors/file compatibility and setup. The wall is black and I can't paint it so I'm going to have to get sheets. The movies are more than likely going to be dvd. If anyone knows where I can borrow/rent projector equipment (outside universities), your suggestions are totally welcome.
